Auckland Graves Desecration – one man pleads guilty and the other fighting the charge

Two men have appeared in Auckland District Court charged with vandalising 20 Jewish graves in the city’s Grafton Cemetery.

Graves with slogans

19-yr-old Robert Moulden has pleaded guilty after being charged with intentional damage. He will be sentenced in February.

20-yr-old Christian Landmark has pleaded not guilty and will appear in court again in January.

The graves were desecrated with swastikas and slogans with messages such as F*** Israel. The graves were also extensively daubed with “88” which refers to “HH” the eight letter of the alphabet and an acronym for “Heil Hitler”
