Ambassador makes his debut

Ambassador-Designate Shmuel ben-Shmuel who, will present his credentials to formally become Israel’s new ambassador to Australia next week, has made his communal debut…presenting trade  awards to 14 Israeli companies and their Australian partners.

The awards ceremony honoured the work down in developing trade between Israel and Australia. Before presenting the awards the ambassador-designate spoke glowingly of how industry in both Australia and Israel is rapidly developing through health research and development. He highlighted the Leviathan gas field off the coast of Israel in which Australian energy giant Woodside Petroleum has made a massive investment.

The function was under the auspices of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce and was sponsored by KWS Legal and hosted by NSW Trade & Investment.
