Amidst lockdowns, rising cases of Covid-19 and further restrictions, Sydney’s Shul continues to distribute packages to aid front line workers.

Rabbi Chaim Levy hands out gifts at Bondi Beach

With 633 cases being confirmed today in NSW, it has been hard to miss the huge efforts and presence of the front line workers.

Sydney’s Shul’s Rabbi Chaim Levy told J-Wire: “It’s been a community effort working together and each of us doing our part. We owe a debt of gratitude to the police officers, multiple testing stations, and drive-through testing that are taking place on the streets of Sydney. The front line workers are working hard to keep us safe and hopefully get us back to normal as soon as possible.”

The mounted police are not forgotten

The current lockdown, which has been in enforcement for two consecutive months has had its toll on members of the community. In an effort to show the generosity and warmth of the Jewish community, Rabbi Chaim Levy of Sydney’s Shul has distributed hot meals, sweets and cold drinks packaged by OBK to the front line workers.
“The frontline workers have appreciated the support” added Rabbi Levy.
