Ground-breaking Junior Carnival in Perth

Competitors from Hong Kong and Singapore have joined 300 Aussie athletes at the Maccabi Junior Carnival in Perth.This is the first time Maccabi has enjoyed the  participation of young sports enthusiasts from neighboring countries with eleven athletes coming from Hong Kong and three from Singapore.

A Maccabi spokesman told J-Wire that more than three hundred boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 16 are competing in the Carnival which will finish on January 6.

All have been billeted with Perth families and most of the events they have competed in have taken place in the Maccabi grounds at the Perth Jewish Centre.

The Carnival opened on December 29.
