UEFA chief in Jerusalem

Israel’s President Isaac Herzog hosted the President of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Aleksander Čeferin, in his office in Jerusalem.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Israeli Football Association, Shino Zuares.
President Herzog thanked Mr Čeferin for UEFA’s decision to select Israel to host the 2027 Under-19 European Championships and welcomed the UEFA President’s recognition of Israeli football’s progress and historic achievements in recent years.
The two also discussed the importance of efforts to combat violence on the sports field.
