The PM meets with rabbis

I refer to your article about the rabbis meeting with the Prime Minister.

The interesting and very troubling thing is that even at a time of crisis for the whole Jewish community, these Orthodox Rabbis could not bring themselves to invite the Masorti and Reform Rabbis to join them in seeking protection for all Jews. It is a disgraceful act. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I am a committed Jew and a member of the Emanuel Synagogue, where Rabbi Kamins and the other Rabbis of the Synagogue have built one of the largest and most thriving Jewish congregations. I am a regular attendee at services at the Synagogue.
Are we not Jews? Are we not entitled to be included in seeking protection from anti-Semitism?
I don’t need to remind these Rabbis that in Nazi Germany, even people who had only one Jewish grandparent were considered to be Jewish and taken to the same gas chambers as everyone else.
Interestingly I attended the Rally against anti-Semitism at Sydney university on last Friday. I saw a large number of people who I know and recognise as members and regular attendees at Emanuel Synagogue, and others who are members of various Orthodox Synagogues. The Rabbi who spoke was most eloquent in delivering a speech against the anti-Semitism currently prevalent.
