St Kilda Shule celebrates its 150th anniversary
More than 300 guests joined in the celebrations as Melbourne’s St Kilda Shule celebrates its 150th anniversary.
President Gerry Bullon and former President Anton Block respectively spoke about the Shule’s illustrious history and its current strong sense of community which they said augurs well for its future.
Vice-President Janice Iloni-Furstenberg delivered a message from Victoria’s Governor Linda Dessau who is recovering from a bout of COVID,
Highlights also included a video featuring six members sharing their memories and feelings for the Shule, a video message from the Chief Rabbi of the Commonwealth Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and the launch of the 150th-anniversary commemorative book 150 years: 1871–2021 — Stories of our spiritual sanctuary.
