Sing as One Choir
In November 2019, Melbourne’s St Kilda Shule created a multifaith choir of 500 people, united by their love of music and singing together for the first time…and the video was released last week.
With only an hour’s preparation to learn, they experienced the joy of musical collaboration to sing Power of the Dream and Saalam as one – in English, Hebrew and Arabic. ‘Forward to 2020, now physically separated from each other, we are #comingtogether in different ways. The timely release of Sing As One reminds us all that we still have the power of music and the power to dream,’ creative director Pip Mushin said as the community is preparing for the start of Passover.
