Tehran Times, a prominent Iranian daily, printed on its front page a map of Israel with multiple targets together with the threat “Just one wrong move!”

The paper, Iran’s leading international daily, wrote in its lead article in English that “an intensification of the Israeli military threats against Iran seems to suggest that the Zionist regime has forgotten that Iran is more than capable of hitting them from anywhere.”

It quoted Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, who said on Tuesday that Iran never underestimates the enemy’s threats.

“Despite our confidence in the deterrence situation of the country, our forces have never underestimated the threat of the enemy and are prepared for the smallest of threats in the strategic field,” Bagheri remarked.

He noted that the military is in “maximum vigilance commensurate with the enemy’s situation.”

“The Tehran Times doesn’t need to remind the illegitimate regime of Israel of Iran’s defence capabilities. Yet, they need to remember something.”

“Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei responded to all Israeli threats in 2013, saying, ‘Sometimes the leaders of the Zionist regime even threaten us; they are threatening to strike militarily, but I think they know it, and if they do not know it, they must know that if they make a mistake, the Islamic Republic will destroy Tel Aviv and Haifa,’” the article concluded.

Khamenei has previously stated that the countdown for Israel’s annihilation has already begun. He announced in 2015 that Israel will disappear from the map in 25 years, by 2040.

Iran unveiled in 2017 a digital clock in the city’s Palestine Square counting down the days to what it says will be the destruction of Israel in 2040.

Tehran Times is not officially a state-run newspaper and is owned by the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization.

This incredible threat comes as Iranian representatives are engaged in talks with European representatives on the future of the nuclear deal and the country’s nuclear program.

Members of the British, French and German teams, the E3, warned that “time is running out. Without swift progress, in light of Iran’s fast-forwarding of its nuclear programme, the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] will soon become an empty shell.”
