The Centenary of Anzac Jewish Program involves a number of commemorative events and educational projects in every Australian State and the ACT, and in Israel, reflecting the Government’s commitment to the Anzac Centenary and the service and sacrifice made by thousands of members of the Australian Jewish community to our country’s freedom and defence.

Substantial funding towards the first major project of the Centenary of Anzac Jewish Program, a book regarding Jews in Australia’s  Military History by well-known author, Mark Dapin, was recently announced by Senator Michael Ronaldson  (the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC and the Special Minister of State).

ECAJ Executive Director Peter Wertheim told J-Wire: “It will become significant next year for the centenary of Anzac.  Jewish communities in each state and the ACT will be holding vents to remember AuStralian Jews who served in all of Australia’s wars.”
