Morry Frenkel speaks with Gerard Healy, recipient of the 2026 Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC) Medal of Honour for Courage Against Hate, former Australian rules footballer, AFL great, a three-time Swans’ best and fairest in the 1980s, a Brownlow medallist, SEN Radio broadcaster and respected commentator.

They discuss the origin of the January 2026 letter signed by many of Australia’s elite sportspeople, asking the Federal Government to set up a Royal Commission into antisemitism. Gerard also explains why he voiced his concerns in The Australian newspaper and on radio station SEN about the injustice facing the local Jewish community following the horrors of October 7th, 2023. Gerard is highly critical of the lack of action by the Federal and State governments and the AFL.
