Lenny Briskets, a New York-style Deli Diner Bar in Sydney offering Jewish staples all year round.

The deli is quick to point out that they are not kosher but kosher style.

Lenny’s Matzo Ball Soup

Leonard Briskets was born in Yonkers, New York, in the 50s to deli owners. Leonard grew up hating all the work he had to do in the deli, but he loved spending time with his dad, which is how he learned to make good food. Leonard Briskets always wanted to be a lounge singer on the strip but never had the chops. After a couple of bad business decisions, Leonard moved to Australia to be with his remaining family and make some money to pay off some debts.

In 2021, Lenny Briskets began with a food truck in Sydney. The legend of his juicy and delicious meats spread through Sydney, and diners far and wide travelled to taste Lenny’s fare because Lenny Briskets are the greatest at smoking meats.

January 2023  The Deli Diner Bar space was opened on Victoria St in Darlinghurst offering first and foremost hot sandwiches, delicious meats and sides to eat in, get takeaway, pickup via the website www.lennybriskets.com.au or delivery on the various platforms.

The Deli component includes cold deli fare to take home and prepare with the same level of quality as if you were sitting at the counter of Lenny Briskets. Pickup is available now, with delivery coming soon.

And at night, the lights dim, the music gets a little louder and Lenny Briskets becomes a bar.

Leonard says “My Pa taught me the most important thing about meats is quality and quantity. My Ma taught me that every customer has to feel like they’re at our own dining table when they come into our store and that’s what we’re trying to do at Lenny Briskets.

Lenny Briskets has become famous for each and every sandwich. The simple Pastrami on Rye, the classic Reuben is leagues ahead of the competition and The New Amsterdam for the flavour combination, the Double el Grande for the meat aficionados and the Muffuletta for those who know if they know. Sandwiches come in Single (150gm) and Double (300gm)- a new addition to the menu.

Sides and smaller items such as the Loaded Fries are also available, Lenny’s homemade pickles are to die for and the sandwiches are paired with complementing beers.

Lenny Briskets loves comfort food. Various hearty soups with bone broth, neck meat, giant matzo balls in chicken soup will zazzle your tastebuds.

Mac and Cheese is a favourite, as well as Jewish staples like egg salad and chopped liver. The French Dipped is back on the menu and has its own devotees who will rise again.
