Limmud-Oz is coming to Queensland

Queensland is to join the Limmud family bringing the Jewish cultural event to the Sunshine state.


Limmud-Oz is a major Australian Jewish community-wide conference and festival celebrating Jewish learning and creativity. It is a unique, volunteer-led, cross-communal and multi-generational event, catering for the broad diversity of opinions within the wider Jewish community. Originating in England some 30 years ago, Limmud-Oz started in Sydney 1999. Limmud events (Limmud-Oz, Limmud Fest, and Yom Limmud) are currently offered each year in Sydney and Melbourne.

The most recent Limmud event is Sydney covered a broad range of topics from Israeli technological advancements , Anti-Semitism within social media and political dimensions across the Middle East just to name a few. Limmud is at the forefront of a revolution of global Jewish education and creates a dynamic and open learning environment for all community members.

Limmud is an interactive and enriching half day program to add to anyone’s range of educational experiences.
