Israel supporters in Christchurch have held their tenth rally.

The theme of Sunday’s ‘Israel Support’ rally was ‘Free All the Hostages’ and ‘Fight Ant-Semitism’.
Bobby Meyer told J-Wire: “It is so important that we do not waver, for to waver is to, eventually, wither.
These rallies shall continue.”
In his address, Meyer told the rally: “240 innocent people were taken into captivity by these radical Islamic terrorists – some to endure rape, further humiliation and death. These innocents are babies, children, youth and the elderly.
What was the response from some in our own country?
Whilst many of us wept and reached out to comfort and stand in solidarity with Israel, inconceivably, many sought to deepen Israel’s wounds with the salt of their own bitter hatred.
Their ill-disguised anti-Semitism is wrapped in the mantle of Israel-hatred, spewed in the verbal diarrhoea of ‘from the river to the sea’. In our parliament, where an element of decorum and respect for the house should be shown, some political figures choose to adorn themselves in the garb of the Hamas murderers.
In this way, they are identifying with these criminals and showing support for their horrific crimes.
Then, lacking any restraint, these political figures, together with the radical activists and ‘gender rights’ groups, march on the streets shouting for the genocide of the Jews.”
He added: “With regard to the ‘gender rights’ groups that vow allegiance with these Muslim extremists: Whilst they may live their chosen lifestyles freely in Israel, should they attempt to live as such under a Muslim fundamentalist regime, they would find themselves hanging from their ankles over the edge of a tall building.
To these people I say, shame New Zealand no longer with your words and actions – rather, go to Gaza or Iran and indulge your democratic right of free speech and actions.
In doing so, you may not live a happy life there, but you will live a short one.
Am I surprised at the words and actions of these anti-Semites..? No, but I am outraged and every right-minded New Zealander should be also!
To those who have chosen to stand publically with Israel, you have chosen to light the candle of truth, justice, courage and peace.”
