Liberal leaders meet with peak Jewish organisations

Shadow Attorney General Julian Lesser and Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, Sussan Ley, have met with Jewish peak-body Jewish organisations ahead of their trip to Israel and the UAE later in the year.

Julian Lesser said: “Sussan and I met with Executive Council of Australian Jewry co-CEO Peter Wertheim, AUJS Representative Alissa Foster, Australian-Israel and Jewish Affairs Council Executive Director Dr Colin Rubenstein and Director of International and Community Affairs Jeremy Jones and Zionist Federation of Australia Public Affairs Director Bren Carlill.

Later this year, Deputy Leader Sussan Ley and I will be travelling to Israel and the United Arab Emirates to hear about developments in the Middle East as a result of the Abraham Accords. The Liberal Party is a strong friend to both the Australian Jewish community and Israel.”
