Sydney’s JewishCare has hosted a Mental Health – Meet your Neighbour meeting.
The Mental Health Coordinating Council aims to improve the provision of mental health services by encouraging organisations to meet and learn more about each other and find ways to work better together. The Council invites participating organisations to attend quarterly Meet your Neighbour functions to discuss issues of interest and to provide networking opportunities.
The most recent meeting was held at JewishCare’s 3 Saber Street headquarters and was attended by over 30 local mental health professionals including 6 from JewishCare.
Dr Ilan Buchman Manager of JewishCare’s Child Family and Community Team said ‘ these meetings are important to ensure that all organisations providing mental health programs are aware of what other organisations are offering and to discuss ways to achieve best practice treatments and services ”
