Following two sell-out seasons in Melbourne the Jewish comedy hit “You’re Driving Me Crazy!” is coming to Sydney from 24 November to 29 November at the Bondi Pavilion Theatre.

Jack Felman’s latest hilarious comedy is a rib-tickling insight into the modern Jewish family and stars Lena Fiszman, Allen Brostek and Felman himself.

This talented trio have been entertaining audiences in Melbourne and Sydney for the past 15 years.
Their previous smash hits Laugh Till You Cry, Don’t Teach Me – I’m Perfect and Born Guilty were sell-out successes both in Melbourne and Sydney, leaving the audiences clamouring for more. They are due to appear in the inaugural Melbourne Jewish Comedy Festival in October.

In “You’re Driving Me Crazy” four generations of the Pszeszekowski family drive each other absolutely meshugah (crazy). Sound familiar?

Meet Mania and Velvel Pszeszekowski, Holocaust survivors, as they try to deal with and understand the attitudes and behaviour of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and the ever-changing world.

Jack Felman has been entertaining audiences throughout Australia for over 40 years. He first achieved notoriety with his creation of the Booba – a character he created out of a multitude of “boobas” he has met and known. Over the last 15 years he has created his alter ego Zaida Velvel based on his experiences as a GP, son, husband, father, grandfather and general observer of the Jewish and wider communities.

As a child of Holocaust survivors Allen Brostek managed to embarrass and disappoint his parents by deciding to become an Accountant, rather than pursue Medicine or Law.  However he has been able to compensate his folks by moonlighting as a comedian in his spare time.

Lena Fiszman has worked as a professional actress for nearly 40 years in film, TV & theatre.  She was a founding member of the highly successful comedy cabaret group The Hot Bagels which appeared in comedy venues and TV throughout Australia and also toured the US.  In her spare time she works 5 days a week at the Melbourne Jewish Holocaust Centre.
