Sydney author Susan Varga has published “Headlong”…the story of a Holocaust survivor who loses her will to live after the death of her husband.Julia Denes is a feisty octogenarian who seeks suicide following the death of her husband. The book tells the story of her many attempts and the impact they have on her children. With the background set at a time when the Howard Government’s treatment of refugees seeking asylum was questionable, the book delves deeply into the subject of euthanasia and the ultimate involvement of close family.
