Four Children Fighting for their Lives

Four little Jewish children are desperately seeking a DNA match to save them from certain death and Gift of Life Australia is asking Victorians to help.

Ezra

Ayellet

Ezra lives in the United States and is 2½. David is Australian and is 4 as is Ayellet who lives in Israel. Donna is 5 and lives in South America.

All four children were initially diagnosed with leukaemia and immune deficiency syndrome. There was hope that they could be cured but that situation has reversed and without a DNA match, where the best chances come from within the Jewish community, these children will die.

Gift of Life’s  Shula Endrey-Walder told J-Wire: “Because so many families lost members in the Holocaust there are many diminished Jewish families throughout the world where members don’t have many cousins. This make it even tougher to find a life-saving match and the only hope is to throw the net far and wide.”

Testing in Melbourne will be at the SpiritGrow Centre in Caulfield North on Tuesday next week between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

These four little lives can be saved by a successful stem cell.bone marrow transfusion.

The cost? Two teaspoons of blood. The hope? Life for four little ones.

    Thank you for such beautiful sentiment.

    It doesn’t matter one iota what race, religion, creed or colour you are, we are all G-d’s children and it’s what is in you heart that counts.

    Todah rabah..Thank you..

  2. I am an elderly woman who would gladly give two teaspoons of blood but as I am not Jewish that offer may not be acceptable to you;
    Have recently visited the Middle East and my heart goes out to your people.
