The Sydney oration will be co-hosted by the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and will take place at the Triguboff Auditorium, Moriah College.

Dr Gold will speak on Battling the global evil of antisemitism: Winning the War of Words against Israel and the Jewish people, offering an unrivalled and unique analysis on the threats facing Israel, global antisemitism, and the strategies to win this war of public opinion.

“It’s not every day that speakers of the calibre of Dore Gold are available to address our community,” NSW Jewish Board of Deputies CEO Vic Alhadeff said. “Dore Gold has operated in the inner sanctum of the Israeli political hierarchy for years and brings unparalleled insights and analyses to the table. This is one event you do not want to miss.”

Ambassador Gold, who advised Israeli Prime Ministers Ariel Sharon and Benjamin Netanyahu, was appointed director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2015. Currently President of the Jerusalem Centre for Public Affairs, he was a member of the Israeli delegation at the Wye River negotiations between Israel and the PLO and served as an advisor to the Israeli delegation to the Madrid Peace Conference. The author of many influential books, he is a frequent contributor to CNN,  BBC, Fox News, The New York Times, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and many other media outlets.

ADC Chairman Dr Dvir Abramovich and Vedran Drakulic, CEO of Gandel Philanthropy issued the following statement: “Once again, the ADC and Gandel Philanthropy are bringing to Australia a widely respected and eminent diplomat of the highest order who is renowned for his  extraordinary service to Israel and  to the Jewish people. Recognised globally as one of the most experienced and best informed voices on international politics, for decades Ambassador Gold stood at the epicentre of Israeli politics and played a pivotal role in shaping the state’s foreign policy. We have no doubt that Australian audiences will be rivetted by his candid, thoughtful and up-to-date perspectives on the pressing issues confronting the Jewish state. The last five orations were captivating and unforgettable occasions that sold out weeks in advance, and we are confident that this will be the case again this year.”
