I’d like to wish all members of our Jewish community a Chag Sameach for a Happy Chanukah.
Chanukah is an opportunity like so many Jewish holidays to reflect on a time where the Jewish people faced persecution and an existential threat just for being Jewish.
It’s a time for us to reflect over the lighting of the candles on how lucky we are as Australian Jews to be free from persecution, and to fight for all those around the world who are not so lucky, simply because of their race or religion.
Chag Sameach again and I also wish you a Happy New Year.
