The acting Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs Alan Tudge sends  Chanukah greetings.

Alan Tudge

I extend my warmest wishes to all Australians celebrating Hanukkah this year.

As a nation, Australia is recognised as the most successful multicultural society in the world. The Australian Jewish community plays an important role in strengthening our diverse social fabric.

This holiday season I encourage all communities to celebrate the contribution that people of many different cultures and faiths have made to our nation, and enjoy the diversity of festivities that our many communities bring to the holiday season.

Our diversity has helped enliven our communities, enhance our cultural experiences and increase our social and economic opportunities.

I send my warm wishes for Hanukkah and a Happy New Year.
