Chabad Cairns is to hold a public conversation after the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.

Rabbi Ari, Mushkie and Devorah Rubin

As the extent of the horror perpetrated in Pittsburgh is being recognised throughout not just Pittsburgh and the United States, but the world, shock and grief have followed in waves. But so, too, has the desire for action, for a concrete response to the worst antisemitic attack on American soil.

Rabbi Ari of Chabad North QLD is remembering and honouring the victims locally with an evening of conversation called “wrestling with faith”. The event is being held Tuesday the 13th of November at 8:00 PM.

The event is free but RSVP is necessary for more information. Send to rabbi@chabadnorthqueensland.com

“Our community is shocked by the senseless atrocity that took place in Pittsburgh,” said Rubin, “In the face of darkness, so we’re going to bring some more light.”

The campaign is being sponsored by Chabad North QLD, the local Cairns Jewish organisation.
