To be part of this intergenerational exhibition and have their artworks displayed in a public forum has created an enormous amount of enthusiasm amongst the residents and has given them a wonderful sense of being part of the community.

Resident, Lotte Lewinsky’s artwork was nominated as a finalist in the ‘over 18 category’. “It is a real treat to have got to this stage,” says Lotte.

Likewise, resident Gertie Huppert says, “I feel wonderful. To think that I am 96 years old and I only started to paint at 92. I am so proud!”

Montefiore residents participate in art sessions 1-2 times a week and are encouraged to relax and celebrate their artistic journey.
