Utterly horrendous; one of our lawyer sons jumped out of the way into Little Collins, as the perp sped down Swanston towards the B Street Mall. His lunch companion then walked back to his chambers through the Bourke Street killing field and is the worse for it. I wish I had read early last week, the graphic account in the big write up in the Ozzie, a couple of days ago. It was only in that, that I read the horrendous facts about what happened to Thalia’s mother and further details of Thalia’s cold blooded murder. The unthinkable happened. It was so beautiful, how many hundreds of the Melb Jewish community lined the streets, as Thalia’s body was carried from ?St Kilda out to the Jewish cemetery near Belgrave South. Thanks be to HaShem that her sister was preserved and her mother is no longer critical. How is one ever to understand such a crime? That is the moral theological question. I’m afraid my moral theological studies in my Masters have been shunted aside, so that my thoughts tend to focus with a terrible clarity, on why our ancestors in the Ancient of Days, took such perpetrators outside the walls. I cannot see how any adverse life experiences, could have justified the perpetration of such an horrific crime. Lest we forget and may G-d bless and keep all good people, giving them His peace.
