Bondi Attack: Juveniles in court

Two 17-yr-old juvenile males currently being held in detention on charges relating to the alleged assault on a group of five Jewish members of the Sydney community have appeared by video link in the Bidura Children’s Court in Glebe.

The Court has given NSW Police permission to photograph the youths and to carry out DNA testing.

The group attacked was walking home at 12:30am on the night of October 25 when antisemitic remarks were alleged made by a group of males. The group was subsequently attacked and all five members were taken to hospital. A knife identified as belonging to a 26-hr-old man also in custody on charges relating to the attack was found in the proximity of the melee.

They youths are scheduled to appear in Court again on November 26.
