Ambassador Dave Sharma lays a wreath

The First World War which took place between 1914 and 1918, claimed the lives of 9 million military personnel and 7 million civilians.

Ramle, a mixed Jewish-Arab town, was the site of a major field hospital during the hostilities and the final resting place for those who did not survive.

Dave Sharma laid a wreath on behalf of Australia.
