The federal Labor Member of Macnamara Josh Burns took a morning walk through the South Melbourne Market with Labor leader Anthony Albanese.

Meeting the locals

Josh Burns now represents the good people whose electorate has been renamed from Melbourne Ports. New name and a new member as Josh has taken over from the retired Michael Danby.

Josh Burns said: “We are here today talking to retailers and talking to businesses. Because around the country, retailers are doing it really tough. And unfortunately, the Government doesn’t have a plan for retailers. They don’t have a plan to support struggling businesses.”

Strolling through the market

As the media pack surrounded them, Anthony Albanes said: “Last Friday, I released our second vision statement on the economy, a plan to grow the economy as well as to talk about the distribution of that wealth. A plan to grow wages. A plan to boost productivity. What we need to do in this country is not be complacent.”
Before continuing their stroll and talking to the locals Anthony Albanese fielded questions on Chinese spies and the Banking Royal Commission.
