For the second time in a week,  Federal Labor MP Josh Burns has seen electioneering posters within his electorate daubed this time with the word “Nazi”.

The Jewish representative for the Melbourne seat of Macnamara Josh Burns told J-Wire: “There’s no place for this kind of antisemitic graffiti or any form of racism in this country.
It is very disappointing to again see this kind of ugly graffiti but I have been overwhelmed with the support I have received from Parliamentary colleagues on both sides of the political divide, and from people across the nation.
I particularly want to thank the Mayor of Port Phillip for taking time on his weekend to clean one of the vandalised signs.

This behaviour must stop but the ugly actions of a small few will only galvanise us to keep fighting against antisemitism, racism and extremism.”

Last week Burns’ image was daubed with a swastika on his forehead and a Hitler-style moustache.
