World famous architect joins team to design Jewish Life Centre and Mount Scopus
World-famous architect Daniel Libeskind will join the team chosen to design Melbourne’s Centre for Jewish Life and a new Mount Scopus Memorial College campus in Caulfield.

A significant milestone has been reached for Project Generation, the force behind Project Generation following the announcement by an independent panel that a leading group of local and international architects to design and master plan this ambitious project.
This collaboration, led by MGS Architects, features Warren and Mahoney, Freadman White, Aspect Studios, and the globally acclaimed Studio Libeskind. Their selection followed a rigorous process that attracted submissions from around the world.
Project Generation CEO, Irit Harris, expressed immense satisfaction with the calibre of interest and submissions. This development is set to be one of Australia’s largest educational projects and a cornerstone for the Melbourne Jewish community, offering a world-class facility with cutting-edge sustainability and educational features, along with broad community access. Notably, the chosen architectural team includes individuals with strong personal connections to the Caulfield area and a former Mount Scopus student,

Daniel Libeskind, Principal Architect and Founder for Studio Libeskind, is known for the design and completion of the Jewish Museum in Berlin. He said: “To help create The Centre for Jewish Life and a unified campus for Mount Scopus Memorial College – a vibrant home for the future of community, culture and education in the heart of Melbourne’s Jewish community – would be a profound honour and a defining moment in my career.”
Daryl Maguire, Principal, Warren and Mahoney, added: “As a fifth-generation design practice, we connect deeply with the Mount Scopus Memorial.
The next phase will involve comprehensive consultation with the school and community to integrate their feedback into the master plan.”
