Tributes continue to be made to Sydney community leader Stanley Roth, who passed away on Sunday.

Stanley Roth AM
George Foster: President of the Australian Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors & Descendants
It is with a heavy heart that I must write about the untimely passing of Stanley Roth AM, a dear friend to many within the Association and a towering figure in the Sydney and Australian Jewish community.
Much has already been written about Stanley and his extraordinary achievements, and rightly so. He was an exceptional individual whose philanthropy, deep care for the Jewish people and for the Sydney Jewish Museum, and unwavering dedication to Israel knew no bounds. His passing will be felt not only by his family but across our entire community and indeed in Israel.
Stanley is survived by his beloved wife Charmaine, his partner in life and in philanthropy, their three children, and seven grandchildren, with an eighth on the way. He leaves behind Charitable Foundations and Henroth Investments named after their father Henry, which he ran together with his brother, John. He also leaves behind a living legacy in every Israeli institution his tireless work supported, in every young leader he mentored, and in every community he strengthened.
We extend our deepest condolences to his wife Charmaine, his children Michael, Ilana and Danielle and their spouses, his grandchildren, his brother John and sister-in-law Jillian Segal, and the entire extended family. May they be granted strength and long life.
Senator Dave Sharma
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Stanley Roth, of blessed memory. Stanley was a warm, caring and passionate individual, whose energy and commitment to causes I found inspiring.
I got to know Stanley during my time as Australian ambassador to Israel, where he and I had a shared enthusiasm for growing the ties between the two countries, especially via closer air links.
He was also enthusiastically committed to strengthening the Australian Jewish community and fighting antisemitism.
He was a generous supporter of many worthy causes and I know, from our discussions, how deeply the tragic terror attack at Bondi affected and worried him.
I will sorely miss Stanley’s friendship, good humour and determination, and I know his passing will leave a deep well of grief in the hearts of his wife Charmaine and their family.”
Doron Lazarus: CEO of JNF Australia
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Stanley Roth AM. His legacy of service, generosity and commitment to our community and Israel will be long remembered – a huge loss for Am Yisrael.
Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
