Israel strikes Hezbollah sites following rocket attacks

Israeli Air Force fighter jets and aerial drones struck a command and control centre, terrorist infrastructure, and military sites belonging to the Hezbollah terror organization in Lebanon on Monday, the Israel Defence Forces said.

In addition, a number of launches toward the areas of Mattat and Shtula in northern Israel were identified. The launches fell in open areas. In response, the IDF is striking the sources of the launches in Lebanese territory.

Three IDF soldiers were lightly wounded overnight Sunday by mortar shells launched from Lebanon toward Israeli military posts in the Shtula area near the Israel-Lebanon border.

On Monday morning, mortar shells were fired from Lebanese territory at an IDF post in the area of Yiftah, according to the military.

The IDF struck the source of the launches with artillery.

Several launches were also identified on Monday afternoon from Lebanon towards the Mount Dov region, near where the Israeli, Lebanese and Syrian borders converge, falling in open areas. Another launch towards Kibbutz Misgav Am was also detected.

In response, the IDF struck the source of the launches.
