Ian Waller appointed to the Victorian Supreme Court

The Judicial College of Victoria has congratulated Ian Waller KC on his appointment as a judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

In its statement, the College said: “Justice Waller has had a distinguished career in law, having signed the Bar Roll in 1989 and achieving the status of Silk in 2007. In his expansive career as a barrister, he developed a broad commercial practice, showcasing expertise in areas such as corporations law, trade practices, contract, trusts, property, professional negligence and contempt of court. He also has experience in class actions and environmental law litigation.

Justice Waller has been a member of the Victorian Legal Admissions Committee since 2008 and served on the Ethics Committee of the Victorian Bar.

We look forward to engaging with Justice Waller throughout this next stage of his professional life.”

Ian Waller is a former president of Melbourne’s Mizrachi Organisation.
