State prosecutors indicted 27-year-old Or Beilin of Be’er Yaakov for alleged espionage on behalf of Iran.

Arrested last month, Beilin is accused of maintaining contact for four months via Telegram with an Iranian handler known as “Yoni.” Prosecutors say he was paid about $9,000 in cryptocurrency to carry out tasks including spraying political graffiti, burning Israeli army uniforms, inquiring about drones, and leaving cash at various locations.

Authorities have requested he remain in custody throughout the legal proceedings.
