Magen David Adom emergency responders are at the scene of a shooting attack at a bus stop at the Ramot Junction in northern Jerusalem. Initial reports say six people are injured.

Magen David Adom has raised the number of injured to 15 in this morning’s shooting attack at northern Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction.

MDA added that two terrorists were “neutralised.”

Magen David Adom paramedic Nadav Taib described the scene of the shooting attack at northern Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction.

“We arrived at the scene in large numbers as soon as we heard the report of gunshot wounds. When we arrived, we saw people lying unconscious on the road, on the side of the road and on the sidewalk near a bus stop. There was a lot of destruction, shattered glass on the floor, and a lot of commotion. We began providing medical treatment to the injured, and we are currently continuing to treat the injured and transport them to hospitals.”’

The terrorists were killed by a soldier on the bus. According to security officials, the attackers were from Judea and Samaria. It was not immediately clear how they entered Israel.

President Isaac Herzog commented on X: Innocent civilians, women, men, and children were brutally murdered and wounded in cold blood on a bus in Jerusalem by vile and evil terrorists.

In the face of this barbarity, we saw extraordinary acts of heroism which prevented even further loss of innocent lives.

This shocking attack reminds us once again that we are fighting absolute evil. The world must understand what we are up against and that terror will never defeat us.”

Jeremy Leibler, president of the Zionist Federation of Australia, said: “The horrific scenes emerging out of a major terror attack in Jerusalem is a stark reminder of the existential threat facing Israelis every day.

We are devastated that at least five civilians have been murdered in cold blood, and many more injured. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims.
Hamas praising this latest terrorist attack is yet another reminder that the lives of Israelis are at risk as long as they are in power.”

The Executive Council of Australian Jewry’s president, Daniel Aghion, added: The terrorist shootings on a crowded bus in Ramot are utterly contemptible.  The gunning down of six unarmed civilians and the wounding and traumatising of many more, including children, is not resistance.  It is cold-blooded murder.   While Hamas and its apologists falsely accuse Israel of genocide in Gaza, they expect the rest of the world to turn a blind eye to the real genocide that Hamas has been perpetrating from the moment it was founded decades ago, as enshrined in its infamous Charter.  Let no one be in any doubt that the core issue of the conflict is and has always been Israel’s right to exist in peace and security, and that Israel has every right to defend itself as any other country would in such circumstances.”
