Nina Bassat is the new president of The Jewish Community Council of Victoria.

She has taken over from John Searle who is now Chair of the Victorian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission.
Bassat is a former president of The Executive Council of Australian Jewry of which she is currently vice-president and brings a wealth of experience in communal affairs to her new position.
