The NSW Government has opened a Bondi Community Support Hub to provide practical assistance, wellbeing services and information for people affected by the Bondi Beach attack.

The Hub is operating daily from 10am to 4pm at Bondi Pavillion, in the Yalagang Room on Queen Elizabeth Drive. It will close on public holidays following close consultation with community leaders.

Established as a central point of support, the Hub brings together NSW Government agencies and community services, including NSW Health, Service NSW, Legal Aid, Lifeline, Multicultural NSW and the Disaster Recovery Chaplaincy Network.

Officials say the Hub is designed to support anyone impacted by the attack, including residents, workers and local business owners, whether they need immediate assistance, guidance on available services or ongoing emotional support.

The Hub has been developed in close cooperation with local rabbis and community leaders to ensure services are culturally appropriate and accessible. From its opening, it has provided kosher food, signage in multiple languages, and access to community therapists with experience in culturally sensitive counseling.

A dedicated rabbi table has been set up to offer spiritual support and guidance. On the first day of operation, Rabbi Ulman of Bondi Chabad recited a blessing and affixed a mezuzah to the door of the Community Hub.

The opening of the Hub forms part of a broader NSW Government response to the attack, which includes health and mental health services, legal and financial assistance, and coordinated recovery support for the Bondi community.

The Bondi Beach attack occurred on Sunday, 14 December, during a Jewish Chanukah celebration, leaving 15 people dead and dozens injured. It has been declared a terrorist incident and widely condemned.

People affected by the attack are encouraged to visit the Hub during opening hours to access information, receive support, or speak directly with trained staff from participating services.
