There is certainly no rational ground for supposing that Zionism is uniquely evil. The fact remains however that the current, Zionist government of Israel has inflicted and continues to inflict such a disproportionate level of death, human suffering and blighted futures on the population of Gaza that the ‘plausible’ accusation of genocide declared by the International Court of Justice in January 2024 has now become a reality. That is the gravamen of the charge against Israel here and now and in particular to its conduct in Gaza.
