However, unfortunately a picture is a picture and has its own singular life and this one as an image is grotesque. It gives the wrong impression. The almost naked bodies look to be atop a pit, which is why some social media have posted them with the word ‘execution’ in play. We know better. We know the mere notion of that is ridiculous. But that’s not the point.
I agree with the IDF spokesmen Hanegbi and Halevi that these kind of pictures should not be disseminated.
