Since the items represent a dangerous ideology, would it not be a good idea to register the items when sold? Authorities would then have a good idea who to keep an eye on. The odd purchase should not arouse suspicion.

While I never want to see historic memorabilia banned in Australia, I would support a sales ban on new items and reproductions representing Nazism.
