That is why I do not support B’nai B’rith’s Courage to Care activities. Nor for that matter, the NSWJBD’s Jewish Museum “cure” for Jew haters.

Caring for others is a mitzvah, but haters do not respond to reason or an appeal to their better selves. If they had a better self, they would not be bigots in the first place.

It would be far better to denounce, ridicule and litigate against people who ignore the Golden Rule. But to do that our leaders would have to emerge from the ghetto.
