And it doesn’t necessarily mean those initially arrested then let go are innocent. I don’t think we should whitewash this, or employ wishful thinking on the subject. It’s not good at all, and that’s the truth of the matter. Despite a minority of people involved, it matters. I don’t think there’s much doubt that the more radical right-wing religious politicians who are in power and speak out encourage it.
