As I read on I became more horrified at what Ruthie Blum reveals. I would never have conceived that Yad Vashem would or could be used and sullied in this way. And something needs to happen to turn it around. Dani Dayon: what a huge disappointment and a travesty that he uses his position in this way in this place. Dan Tzahor: I don't know how old he is, but can only conclude he is not mature, ignorant of the realities of Nazism and has no imagination. There should be no place for him in any department of Yad Vashem, library or elsewhere.
What a terrible situation. Most certainly the political views of any prospective employee at Yad Vashem matter. It was fascist political 'views' that created the need for Yad Vashem and other memorial/museum sites throughout the world in the first place.
What is wrong with these people?! It should be as clear as day why certain separation of particular factors is necessary to keep this place pristine for what it stands for.

As for the Mufti's photo on the wall, or not, Dayan's reasoning for its removal
being justified by the Mufti's meeting with Hitler having 'negligible practical effect on Nazi policy', is so weak as to be offensive. Of course, the Mufti of Jerusalem wouldn't exercise influence over Hitler, but Hitler sure did influence the Mufti, who went back to Palestine with renewed vigour and continued to create hate and disturbance in his extended period of incitement.

Thank you for this article, Ruthie. Hopefully you will work hard to bring its content to as many as possible. It is certainly an expose.
