B’nai B’rith ADC Chairman, Dr. Dvir Abramovich said:“The ADC is extremely troubled by these vile acts of racism and condemns the recent spree of antisemitic graffiti. These shocking symbols and words of hate are hurtful and offensive and are intended to intimidate members of our community.  They are a disturbing reminder that Jewish hatred is still strong and persistent and remind us why we must continue to fight this kind of sickening bigotry. We encourage any person with information to contact the police and are hopeful that the perpetrators will be apprehended and prosecuted.”

The ADC regularly reports such incidents to authorities and ensures their speedy removal.

Pretty shocked by this – spent some 13 years in Melb after going up to uni aged 17. Any intelligence, on who is doing this? I have always felt uneasy that we now have 300,000 Muslims in Oz and only 100,000 Jews. Is the govt attitude “oh well, more Jews should have come to Australia, then the numbers would be even!” ??

I’m only a half but I did have an Irish Catholic priest inform me in 1995 in Victoria, that I “could never produce children with good character because each of the 4 who were pulled out of me were tainted by my evil blood.” However that was a feebleminded Irish extract specimen. I would have thought most Melbournians were above anti-Semitism. Its not half brain-dead skinheads anointing tramstops with swastikas, is it? Do VicPolice have any clues?
