Further questions come to mind, incl:

1. In what other conflict did the Sth African govt ban citizens from joining foreign forces? eg

…..ISIS and similar heads of the same snake
…..Boko Harem
…..Yemeni
….Syrian
(By contrast, many of us within Australia continue to reel from the various attitudes to some individuals who have ended up in ISIS camps / recent release of some who continue to work to the destruction of Australia’s democracy )

2. I am not familiar with freedom of speech laws in Sth Africa….. am wondering whether the mass proliferation and spreading of blatant lies is welcome.
…. but don’t get me started on that….Aust media has got that down to a fine art.
