Beazley wrote: “With gratitude for the life of Saul Same. He was the kindest most generous man I have known incapable of an unkind act or thought.

The most generous of men in the Australian Jewish community a community immersed in charitable giving.

His heart encompassed all his fellow Australians. He was loyal to his social and political commitments in good times and in bad.

He is with Lucy now the marvellous team in tandem again to organise the angels on the celestial tennis court.

Former Prime Minister Bob Hawke and current Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews attended Mr Same’s minyan on Sunday night.

No comments from the usual contributors about the late Saul Same? Perhaps they think Saul, being a good friend and honoured by past Labor leaders, doesn’t deserve recognition for the enormous contributions he made to Israel and the Jewish community at large. Shame on you all.

Some time ago, at a Labor function Kim Beazley was addressing, which Saul attended; when Kim saw Saul, he ran up to him and gave him a most affectionate hug.It was simply gorgeous showing the esteem Kim had for him. Every word Kim has said about Saul is so true.
