A Coles supermarket  is working together with Jewish House to provide Passover food for the needy.

Avremi Joseph and Rabbi Mendel Kastel prepare bags of food for the needy

In Coles Westfielfd branch at Sydney’s Bondi Junction, volunteers ask shoppers in the KosherLePesach section to buy a little something extra to drop in a collection box for distribution to the poor.

The goods are taken back to Jewish House and sorted into bags. Avremi Joseph told J-Wire: “We expect to give away more than 350 of these bags…and our work has been made much easier thanks to the shoppers in Coles.”

Rabbi Mendel Kastel, CEO of Jewish House added: “The offer is open to the needy of all congregations – no exceptions”.

If you cannot get to a coles store that has a drop off point, you can also donate through My Kosher Store at this link http://www.mykosherstore.com.au/products-page/donate-for-pesach/

In conjunction with Jewish House’s ‘Our Pesach Campaign’ you can now donate Passover Products online, just select the products you wish to purchase and they will be donated to Jewish House on your behalf.

These products will be sent directly to the Jewish House Pesach Campaign.
