There are religious rights, and rights to autonomy. The parents’ or community’s religious rights cannot justify depriving a child of his right to auutonomy and therefore must be limited, as provided for in ECHR to protect the rights of the child.

The President of Israel won’t get anywhere writing a pathetic letter like this to Thorbjorn and trying in the process to enlist Muslims in this issue.

Muslims are perfectly capable of speaking for themselves.

On behalf of the Jewish world, Peres should have gone on the offensive in regard to this issue. Instead he writes this mealy mouthed claptrap. I could have dictated a better response half asleep.

Gil, Adding Muslims to the argument adds great weight in numbers insofar as those who would be affected by such a resolution if it became active. Our Torah obligations are not important to others. The sheer numbers of those affected by such a resolution could well be.
