As an Australian taxpayer, I am delighted that aid is given to assist Palestinians, who have been tormented and denied human rights by Israel. Indigenous Palestinians are long overdue equal rights, an end to Israeli apartheid and colonialism, and recognition of Palestinian refugees’ right guaranteed under international law to return to their lands. I will be even happier when the Australian government begins to sanction Israel, as it did apartheid South Africa for its similar crimes against humanity.
