The reason Israel fails to liberate the Muslim occupied Jewish lands of Aza, Shomron and Yehuda is not so much an Israel or Jewish failure, it is the historic failure of all the Western Democracies. All have lost the understanding of what war is.

The allies of WWII which you mention, won the war against the Nazi juggernaut by applying total war, not by depleting or weakening but by totally destroying the enemy and accepting nothing less than unconditional surrender.

When confronting evil there is but one course to take and that is not negotiating or agreeing to a ceasefire when the enemy begs for one.

It is possible to destroy ISIS. It is possible to bring Iran to its knees. It is possible to completely liberate the Muslim occupied Jewish Lands. America, Europe, Israel, are all more than powerful enough to do that. In a very short time. In a very violent short time. But we have lost the will to do so. Not just Israel but all of us, lead on by the left, by academia, by the ideology of multiculturalism. By the reluctance to win.

From the Torah we learn that when confronting an evil enemy it must be completely destroyed – down to the last cow. When Israel didn’t do so, G-d chastised it.

Imagine 1935, shortly after 20 million WWI dead: in a Paris cafe discussion about Hitler and Churchill, one fellow suggested that before the coming war is over, the allies will have to kill 18 million Germans. “Impossible”. “No, we are not savages, we cannot do that”

It is 1935 again but there is no Churchill or Roosevelt or Truman to lead us. .

Could you – or anyone else – guess why, in the name of all that is sane, Israel fails to retake Gaza, Judea and Samaria, and kicks out any surviving PA and Hamas functionaries?

As you so carefully detail, if the PA is no more, then neither is its “police”, its administrators, its executive or its Hamas controlled legislature. They are hostiles in Israeli controlled areas under false pretences.

These people must go like the Sudetenland Germans and they must take with them any Arab who remains hostile. Sinai has lots of empty areas and the Syrian ceasefire line is porous.
